Meet our Clinicians

PHILADELPHIA TEAM

Sean is a senior research advisor for EMBRace as one of its founding program assistants when it launched in 2015. He is returning this year as a clinician during his first year of doctoral study at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education (Penn GSE), where he is studying Human Development and involved in research targeting low-income minority grade school students and first-generation college students.

He is a lover of poetry and story-telling, having performed at various spoken word venues and open mics, and having published a book of poetry in undergrad at The Ohio State University. He hopes to employ his knowledge as a student and researcher and infuse his love for story-telling into his work as a clinician so that he may equip and inspire the students and families he will work with through EMBRace to build their own self-efficacy in appraising and navigating racially stressful situations through reflection and story-telling.
