LOS ANGELES TEAM

Sharayne Douglas

Greetings! I am Sharayne Douglas, a current Marriage & Family Therapy master’s student at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. My love for the field of therapy and passion of advocating for people of color in psychology began as an undergraduate student at Florida A&M University a couple years ago. I hope to gain experience working with families while volunteering with EMBRace, as well as inspire black Americans to discover and “embrace" ;) their culture to the fullest.

Chelsea Reese

I'm originally from Atlanta, Georgia and an Alumni of Georgia Southern University where I double majored in Psychology & Child/Family Development. Currently, I've just completed my 1st semester of the University of Southern California's Masters of Social Work Program where my concentration is Public Child Welfare. I plan to work for the Department of Children & Family Services, become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and eventually own my own practice. Looking forward to fueling my passion for helping others and making a difference. Hobbies include hiking, traveling, photography, and being around good company.

Dara Adeeyo

Originally from the East Coast, Dara is a Jersey girl with Nigerian roots. She has relocated to California to pursue a Master of Social Work at the University of Southern California. Dara has experience working with children, families, and adults in a social work capacity. She received her undergraduate degree in Print Journalism and Women's Studies from Hofstra University. Previously, Dara was working in the media industry as a journalist for eight years. While Dara will always be a writer and editor at heart, helping others find emotional healing is her passion. Dara aspires to work professionally as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker—specifically, with Black women to improve their overall well-being.
